Although it's past the date of the show, just to let you know that, and this is right from the president of IASCA, if you are an IASCA member and you compete at a double point event with Finals qualifier status or a triple point event, you automatically qualify for the Finals, no matter where you position.

In answer to the question about when you have to have your membership dues paid by, you can sign up as an IASCA member the day of the show if you'd like and would be eligible for the Finals.

In response to the comments about how many manufacturers will be at the Finals, all or some, keep in mind that as was mentioned earlier, some things almost killed IASCA because of the politics that surrounded the organization. Now that it's privately owned, like some of the other orgs, it's going to take some time to rebuild. Yes, attendance by manufacturers was low last year and not all the major manufacturers were there to represent their product, but not all the manufacturers were at the other Finals either. Some of them pick and choose which shows they will be attending and many of them kept their faith in IASCA and it's growth. This year a lot of new manufacturers were signed on as manufacturer members of IASCA and I can assure you that representation of the product lines will be a lot stronger for 2003.

Keep in mind also that IASCA is one of the only major organizations that offers competition in both SPL and SQ, representing everyone that loves car audio. And the biggest car audio competition in the world, the Spring Break Nationals, is still first and foremost an IASCA event, keep that in mind.

This is the second year for IASCA under it's new ownership. Already the number of IASCA sanctioned events has doubled from last year and continues to grow, who knows where it will go from here!

And finally, in response to the comment of how Canadians fare at the Finals, all I can tell you is that with 30 plus Canadian competitors at last years Finals and more than 70% of them bringing home top 10 finishes, I'd say the odds are pretty good for us. I truly believe we as Canadians have some of the best sounding and some of the loudest vehicles in the world, no exceptions. One of my team members didn't want to go for fear of getting his butt kicked, so I made a bet with him; if he didn't finish in the top 10, I would pay for his trip. He came to Charlotte and competed and placed fifth in the World out of 20 competitors in his SQ class (Amateur 1-300), beating out some of the biggest names in the industry.

I hope this clarifies and I was able to be of some help. All the best to you all and I hope to see you at the Finals !
