Ya, lol, it's for sure got a "smell" to it.... I have to air it out before I can even work on it! We will see if we have the time to get it to hit a decent number at this show, it needs the proper box.
As for me being "the man", you guys are a little bit generous with that term! Thanks though. I will try to have my car doing something legit too.

I don't think it's been said enough that we appreciate these guys putting on this show, many people have never put on a show before, especially a big one like this. But I can tell you it's stressful and way more time than you can imagine, you get to the point where you really question why the hell you are even doing it, but you are happy you did after. So thanks for putting in the effort guys, hopefully there will be lots of us there to support it! It should be a blast, I look forward to seeing everybody and seeing some good numbers!

if its on the ac190 then thats around a 152 on the termlab, if its on the ac180 then its closer to 146ish on the TL..and that number could be way off depending on when the audiocontrol was last caliberated and if the sensitivity was played with at all. Not accusing u guys of cheating but accidents happen. This is why the TL is the superior sensor and is the general means of comparison of vehicles across the world. Thats a good score though..no-wall is a great class if I was to build another SPL car it would definitely be a no-wall single cab truck with a cut-through. Would have to be a large full size though in order to get enough height to run 2 18s and enough width to run a big enough port.

mhm you guys and Luke are definitely keepng the scene alive thats for sure.

150 would be nice. My suggest in is a small square enclosure and large external aeroport firing to passenger side. Hopefully with a single cab truck you can have it peaking at a nice high frequency which will help with the tunability. And spend time testing your deadening. Depending on what class ur building for id stiffen the rear wall of the cab as much as possible. ...if ur going for street id do 2 layers of vibraflex from europe. Gunna have to import it yourself though....if its superstreet id consider welding some street onto it...thatll help your score more than you think.

You obviously don't know how expensive importing one of those from europe is do you now???

I was a customs broker in the past and believe you me, if you don't have a hook up be prepared to spend at least $5000. And that's if the car is not in a container on the boat. Guess how much its gonna cost you for a container$$$$$

the guy who bought the crx doesn't have the experience or knowledge to get the car as loud as it was , that is why Dale is working on it he has the knowledge and experience to be able to get full potential out of the car ......

we looked into it a lot in fall of 06 when we had a hookup for a free container and I have a good friend who's also a customs broker here in vancouver. Also have a friend in Greece who was willing to scout out a few cars for me and do all the work on his end for a small fee. To my knowledge there were two container sizes...the first one would hold 3 cars and the 2nd one we could get 7 into. So we were going to go the smaller route and import 3 at a time.

Total cost for everything including the fees, brokerage, taxes, cars themselves, inspections, and paying my buddy in greece came to in the range for $7500-8500 for 3 cars. At that time Terry Brocks said he would take one of the cars for $5000 usd as soon as we had one provinding they were as good of shape as we claimed...so that would cover a great deal of our costs. We were going to keep both the other 2 cars and play in St A and B with them. Buut I got lazy and bought my explorer instead and got caught up with that then the hookups for the free container were gone.

so i was right then. someone bought a loud'ish crx from a guy who knew what he was doing, then got another guy who also know what he is doing to make it loud'ish'er. and then the person who actually owns the car presses PLAY/PAUSE button at a show. weak/wack/ghay. but have fun.

are you dissing Rob by saying he didnt get the full potential out of the car? ouch.
