very simple way to fix this , up the entry feee , or bring allow the competitors to choose weather they want a trophy or not have smaller prizes and some larger prizes with 2 differnt entery fees

i like $$$ and toys but if i have my kids with me i like a trophies but if i tell my Wife i got $$$ for going to a show ......

For me it's yes to a nice trophy.... It says all the hard work was worth it, I like something thats unique like the sub basket or whatever, doesn't have to be a traditional trophy, I'm really not a competitor per se yet but I would not be doing something like this to gain any money, It's a hobby for me only as I like to tinker with my car/system. Maybe for first place an option of free entry to an upcoming show thats maybe not local and would make it worth the drive as fuel is getting pricey. That way the winner would be enticed into coming out again to defend the title. I dunno but a lotta guys seem to be into the $$$....Almost makes it like a pro event in a sense. If the people want that then so be it. a picture with the # of Db's is the same as a certificate IMO.

if your in for money your in the wrong buisness , this is abou having fun and nothing cooler then having a cool award to show off to your friends and get them into the mood as well to compete

we all like those unfortionitly the only ppl who dont are the ones who have to pay the bill for them lol , the cups we got from finals were just cheap that was from world finals which typically give away a trophy thats 6 feet tall and this year gave away nothing really and had us pay 200 just to enter
