cash and certificate would be AWESOME---BUT------

it would really have to depend on how much cash.....if I put in $40 to enter, and got $30-$50 back for a first, I'd rather take a trophy. If it was like $150 for a first, then it would be worthwhile IMO...

as a member of spl groups, you can print off a certificate for free that has the name of the event, date, and what place you earned.


with that being said, I know that trophies are expensive, HOWEVER, I also know with some creative thinking, those costs could be dramatically reduced by thinking outside the box...

I REALLY like my beer mugs that don made up last season. different sizes for different placings. a few years ago joe made some trophies out of old subwoofers...getting the same kind of trophy over and over again is kinda weak, but I would like to bring something home instead of a certificate that I can print myself...

I also really like my soundstream plaques and audio video plaques. My favorite overall though is my 6' trophies from AndresCarAudio 2007 and worlds 2008, and my sterling silver cup from kamloops 3x 2008.


I guess what I'd really like is something different and memorable. something that anyone that sees it will be impressed and want to come out for the fun as well...

you mean $20 right??? they were pretty weak this year for a $200 entry fee......oh, btw, they were donated, so they prolly didn't cost anything

Well after I get back from this weekends shows depending how they go, I will dream up something amazing for this years 3x. I can't promise amazing things for this weekend but as Will said, it has to be memorable and different. You guys ok with that?

the championship belts were a great award , in my oppinion getting cash just doesnt apeal to me im not in this to make money , i like to gather trophys and awards to show what ive accomplished over the years

id say small decals or small cert about the size of a normal photo will be good enough and reduce the cost of the shows or have there be actual cash prizes.

Trophies get in the way, i dont have that many, and their already collect dust and getting in the way.

I'm a big fan of certificates and a lot of raffle type prizes. Then everyone gets a chance to win something good.

to keep on budget maybee do medals for single pt shows , trophys for 2x then a larger trophy for the 3x or something cool , really all depends on the budget if we can get enough sponsors together to cut some costs this will take the load off the guys paining the huge feees , I know a place were i can get medals for 2.50 each that would make a great prize for a single point show and will still stay on budget

medals work for me ! , I think for 2x and 3x a bunch of us should get together and go in on larger prizes such as the larger trophys or somthing larger
