I was kinda interedted in this myself as I was in stock 1 at it and that class never got called for trophies or placing!! I wonder if I was the only one in the class LOL the trophy was just gonna go to my buddy in salmon arm for his help anyway, but would been good to know

Apparently dave is banned again so he informs me that the results won't be posted here, there were trophies handed out for stock 1 and the results will be posted on the db drag site and the iasca site asap, although the show was a success, we were missing a few key guys in my opinion, this would have been the highest attended show that had ever put on if it were not for some " regulars" not attending", too bad

I spectated at the show along with my family and some friends and their family. I was disappointed to see how small the show was compared to the 2005 show that I last attended but it was still a nice turnout compared to pretty much any other turnout I've seen in a long time (except for the 604Autosound show in Chilliwack last Sept; that was about the same attendance).
It was nice to see some nicely-equipped cars. Of course, being the Okanagon, the amount of Alpine F#1 systems that Dave probably sold was quite a few. Some nice installs too to take pics of.
But my age-old gripe rears it's ugly head again: CARS NOT ON DISPLAY. At least 1/2 if not more of the competing vehicles were shut tight. I hate that.....alot. I even saw competitors vehicles from other shops who probalby came as a group and have put on shows with their cars locked up. Why?? But then again, there were quite a few cars that weren't even cleaned prior to the show. This is a SHOW, but that seems lost on a lot of current competitors. At least vacuum the bloody carpet....
We stayed about an hour and saw everything to be seen. They had lots of swag to give away which is always cool.

our cars were washed....and open......the hatches were closed only to keep the heat out, which everyone knows is BAD for a score. windows were open though, and carpets were vaccuumed.....please remember that alot of us travelled a long ways, and still needed to keep stuff in our cars. that kind of thing you don't want lying around outside while you are gone competing(ie camera, laptop t/l etc.) there were a couple ugly dirty cars that I saw, but splers. they are not there to show off a clean install, or nice paint job. they are there to make a noise, and get the job done, then go home. as far as I knew this was a triple point stereo show.......not a car show and shine. if you go to both, you will see a HUGE difference. in the cars, AND the people there....I know, we did the show car circuit in 2005......car audio enthusiests are MUCH NICER, and always willing to show off a system......all anyone has to do is ASK. also keep in mind that being a triple point event, car awners have everything set perfectly to where they want it. if their car is not yet judged, the last thing you want is some kid in your car with sticky fingers and gum on their shoes, playing with oll your settings....on purpose, or by accident. some of the sq cars were not finished being judged until after 5 pm. I can see them wanting their cars closed until then....being a fellow car audio enthusiest yourself, I can bet you can see some of my points.

that is exactly the attitude that killed out industry in the mid 90 Will.. sorry but i have been in this industry since 87 and seen the glory and the guts of what can happen to our events... closing the doors does nothing but promote a cold attitude... sorry if your system has been altered by someone during a show but i have been to over 50 and have never,(on purpose, thanks Dave) had my car altered or dirtied. most people just want to look insided and take a few pics. hell i would never sit in an open car at any show..nor have i seen any kid or adult do that.. now thats not to say it hasent been done. but man thats rare...... now i have travelled to shows with wife two kids and luggage ie saskatoon. and had a spotless car for the show.... put all items under the car!! and when i went through the lanes my wife watched the gear..... most people respect our investments and our efferts and just want to see what we have done..... as far as respect... i always open my hood, trunk doors and play tunes at shows then leave my car and socialize..... at one show i was drinking inside and it started to rain so one of Daves guys rolled up my windows and shut everything down for me......... SWEET!! have faith my good friend and enjoy the next show.... ps when is the next event?
