and also to add..this has nothing to do with being serious about wanting a Canadian location for finals.. if anyone thinks that this would be even worthwhile then they really need to have their head examined.
Compete at a show instead of getting paid to be there and then you can start talking to us about it

(btw.. I'm joking about this one buddy.. I know you've competed in the past.. I've just got to bug you a bit)

Ok... since Nick seems to think it's a bad idea that I worded things the way I did... I've changed it.

Would you SUPPORT a Canadian dbDrag finals?

how is dB Drag putting the shaft to Canadians by not having a finals location in Canada Yuli? Can you explain that to me...

Nevada straight sucked *****.. so did the FL location and the CALI location last year..*****!!!

As well I'm not going to sit here and say that Americans can or cant cross the border.
I will state that for some reason they choose not to.. who the fack know why or why not

You also stated that if there was a "promised" location here in Canada that there would be MANY MORE competitors from this region... I will disagree.. there was the promise of that last year in FLORIDA and CALI and look what happened...

To say that we can expect a ton of local competitors and ones from our "region" is hoping and wishing.. lets look at the various "Big" events we had over the summer...you had some people complaining about the entry fees while others didnt bother to show up.
Why dont you try and tell some of these guys to pay 150++ in fees to compete.. then see what they will say...

The fact is that there would be a turn out.. would it be enough to justify a "Successfull" finals location? I dont think so.. it would end up being like FL, CALI and NV...

I dont really agree with you here, because the fact of the matter is, there are more competitors gonna be around each year to follow. People like me didnt go to finals this year, based on the cost to get there, not the cost of entry. I know several ppl that would have probably sooner gone to TO to do finals, then hittin the states. Look at the milage us canadians have to put on just to compete in finals!!! I would sooner spend mony and go to a finals in canada. Not to mention our dollar is going in the ******* again, so more americans would be willing travel into canada I think!
I will boycot I dont care what wayne thinks about my decision, ell I didnt even get an invite to worlds this year(I assume because I only had 60points) however I seen ppls stats for the year that went to worlds with only 40 points!

Of course.. but it would be stupid to have it in Indy and Toronto...

That's why I mentioned TO and a more southern/central location for the US.

those people went to Finals because they choose to compete on the regional level..
you're entitled to your opinion of course..
bottom line is that many people travelled to finals no matter what the cost was..
they did so because they wanted to do so.. Of course for some its more difficult financially speaking and thats totally understandable but they made the decision to either do so or not.

As I mentioned in a previous post its not a question of whether or not there will be people that attend the finals.. its a question of whether there will be a sufficient amount of people that will attend in order for it to be successfull and worthwhile.

You can get deeper into it for example:

-Where in Canada would you have it? (you're going to obviously have people wanting it here or there and so forth)
-If its going to be in Canada and for arguments sake lets say its in Toronto or Ontario then where would you have the other location in North America? Are you going to come up with some broke *** location just so that it doesnt conflict with Toronto?
-So many things to take into account.

It may be seen that I'm being negative about it but thats not the case.
I'm trying to be civil about it and not get into a shitting match.

you see Jordy.. moving the American location elsewhere just so as to accomodate a Toronto location would be a BAD MOVE... hell it would be retarded...lol

central has nothing to do with it.. you've given people the west and the east and still they had a shitty *** turnout... for god sakes it was in their own state and they couldnt get their asses to go...lol

Everyone still went to INDY...

INDY is the ideal location and thats a fact..
this year the peeps from Florida came up to INDY.. they didnt bitch or complain.. they made the trip up...

unfortunately the days of finals like it was in Nashville are gone..
as for the part about the European addition overseas that may or may not be a factor.
I think it probably is...

But it was only a matter of time..after all how fair was it that a World Finals was held in the USA and that if they wanted to compete they had to transport their vehicles overseas.. talk about CRAZY!!! but they did it.. and here you have people complaining about having to trailer or transport their vehicle and so forth...lol

P.S The Poll at this point is really NULL.. because everyone and their mother is going to answer YES!! So time to shut it down... You would of been better off leaving it the way it was Jordy.. Leaving it with the title WOULD YOU BOYCOTT FINALS.....
