Want a cheap alarm? A switch.
Attach switch to door wire and the other side to siren. Put the switch on the outside of the car somwhere (under front bumper or something).
Get out of car and hit the switch, does as good a job as most any alarm and never goes off accidentally.

FWIW - pat28ca, I have never had any issues with the few Black Widow alarms I have put in or know of that were professionally installed. They seem reliable enuf [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
