Extra LED wiring problem

I have an autostart 2 way starter/alarm which doesn't have the extra connector for external LED's to be hooked up to it. I only has the one in the antenna. I was told that I can wire into the blue wire running to the antenna, but when the alarm was armed the 2 extra LED's were so dim that you could barely even tell they were on) I ran the ground to the black wire to the antenna as well I tried straight to ground. Also whe the alarm was dis-armed the lights still stayed slightly lit (very very dim, but still on)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

12V Hyper LED, single light ones like you can get at Canadian tire and places.

You need to use the ground when armed wire for the negative input and 12 volts constant for the positive input.
