New guy with possible multiple issues

Hey, Im new here, but have a strong electronics background, just not specifically in car electronics systems. I am having issues with my wifes G5

info:
2006 Pontiac G5, 2.2L with various upgrades, Compustar two way remote start and alarm, pioneer avic d3, mach speakers front, pioneer speakers rear, no amp and subs.

problem:
My wife was driving home this past Monday and hit a big snow drift. The car made it through and noone was hurt... heck the car wasn't even damaged cosmetically. The car did die though. The engine bay packed full of snow. I had to dig the serp belt free thinking that the motor wouldn't stay running or start due to restrictions in the engine bay. After towing the car to my brothers shop and letting it thaw out, I tried starting it. The car would start and then idle down and die. The little GM security light is on. So I tried the other key. Same thing. Then I took the key and put it on the bench next to the primary. The cars ignition turned on, as well as the headlights and aux controlled items such as the boost gauge, stereo, etc. Odly enough, the car had never done that before (that is dripping with sarcasm) and it needs to stop.

I tried:
+Unplugging the battery for a while to see if the GM light would clear. No difference.
+unplugging various harnesses off the compustar computer. The car wont even attempt to crank now
+reconnecting everything I undid to see if I can atleast get it to start. It still wont even try to crank
+I Checked every fuze and relay in the car. They all checked out fine.
+I cut the wiring harness for the compustar out (not sure what had to be cut in the stock harness for install) and nothing happened

There is a second 3"x2"x1/2" box with roughly 10 small gauged wires going into the connector for it. I have tried both having unplugged and plugged in with the same results. I have no clue what the box is for, but I am almost positive that it is related to the remote starter.

I am clueless what else to do. I am close to having towed to the shop that installed the remote. I have NO IDEA how a snow drift would cause all this, but i need the car up and running. Any help would be VERY much appreciated!
