I recently had to install a Manitoba Public Insurance Corp. immobilizer because of their theft reduction campaign. I already have a compustar P1WSH-S remote starter & Counteract CT-2 rust prevention system. The alternator is a stock 95-130A Ford 3G series & the battery is a 590CCA Exide. On some cold days I haven't been able to start the truck. The battery was good for about 2 sec. of crank and then the ominous click, click click.... What gives?

 

How old is the battery?

 

The battery is a little over a year old.

 

your probably using more juice then your alt can handle and you were running on battery power and now its dead. or the battery is bad.
