I've had this happen a couple of times. I had receipts and they paid me out for it, or I bought replacement stuff and they reimbersed me for it. My security measures are that I never blast it within approx 15 blocks of my home, and my sub box gets covered by a dark fleece blanket. Since I started doing this I've never had a problem.

 

Yeah, unfortunately that's not possible since a lot of my driving is WITHIN 15 blocks ... one of my places of employment and my girlfriend, both of which I park in spots that I cannot see my car, nor is it truly "protected" ...
Parking in a lit spot as opposed to a dark part of the street is as good as it gets so ...

I think an alarm is in my near future.
