iasca why the bias cca

l found this site a year ago and use it weekly. through this l entered competions met great people and pursued a hobby in the local GTA.
my first year competing was a good experience. thx to CCA

this year with the advent of advertisers, which i have used do not sanction events or make up competition rules. l recently posted an event and was given a penalty for ing the good word about a community event.
l mailed the admin and he never responded. l was very distraut as this is a great site.

one of the friends l made through this site has informed me of this conflict.
calling iasca a profit organization. but its ok to sticky thier rules.

if your a advertiser please speak up and dispell the conflict. a few of you were at the judges training last year (black mustang) and even held an iasca event at thier shop. l was there. good times.

l feel the guy at the top of CCA is not for the best interest of this community now that advertising is priority.

attended 95% of sq shows last year and am an iasca judge all because of CANADIAN CAR AUDIO

THX DAVE

Hi Dave,

Let me give you a quick rundown on the reasons why this situation has emerged.

IASCA is a corporation related to the car audio industry. It makes money, by selling its services to individuals and shops.

You can send snail-mail to the following address:

IASCA Worldwide Inc.
2200 South Ridgewood Ave
South Daytona, FL 32119
US

Please note it is not a typo, IASCA Worldwide is an Incorporation. (In my opinion they would have been better off as an LLC as it sounds better, but whatever works.)

An incorporation is set up in 99% of cases to provide legal foundation for making money.

They charge membership dues and event fees. They even have an advertiser or two.

This is where the spin comes into play. IASCA expects us to provide them advertising free of charge, however charges us when we would like to hold events. See the difference between mutually beneficial relationships and one-way relationships?

On that note, I am still waiting to hear back from Jason at IASCA on the subject of advertising.

It is a fairly simple concept to understand. People pay money for a service or product in return. Advertisers pay for a service and traffic given. The IASCA rules were posted in order to better inform the users, who are already affiliated with IASCA of this years’ changes in rules.

The gentleman with the black Mustang is not an advertiser as far as I know.

While your input is greatly appreciated, I’d like to remind you of a few key facts.

CCA’s member base has doubled in 1 year. Consequently our server costs have also increased by a large margin. Last time I tried to pay our server company with “feelings”, they quietly reminded me my love/feelings are not as valuable as originally anticipated and I should break out the chequebook.

In light of these facts, I’d still like to hear back from Jason at IASCA in regards to advertising on the site. This instance also reminds me of Richard from CSPL for some reason.

If any members or moderator has any question at all regarding, please do not hesitate to Private Message me.

Thank you,

Greg
