Hi, just bought an 05 escape that has a pioneer sph-da01 head in it, and i would rather just have a plain old cd player in it. I know that several car manufacturers have security issues with doing an r&r on the stereo. I used to install car stereo equipment back when supertuners first came out (70's) yeah, i'm old.... i was happy with the old craig casette units. I really don't give a s*** about the stuff on the touchscreen, so if anyone wants to buy this thing from me or trade a good cd head for it let me know.

Now, on to the question, can i swap out a new head without security issues? Or there any other suggestions so i can hear something other than country music to keep me from losing my composure with the dumbs*** drivers out there?

pioneer sph-da01 is an aftermarket deck, so it should be no issues to replace it with another aftermarket deck.
