Alpine CDE-100 not powering AMP
Hey, so my problem is that when I switch from radio to AUX on my deck (Alpine CDE-100) it will cut power to my amp (MTX Thunder Class-D) and my sub, 10" Thunder, won't work with my mp3 player hooked into the AUX port. The sub and amp work decently fine when it is in radio source.
I'm pretty sure the wiring is fine because the amp turns on and the sub works in radio mode. I was going to disconnect the remote wire from the deck and splice it directly into the ignition power that goes to the deck, but I figure there must be a way to make it not cut out when switching sources. Without having it constantly powered while the car is on.
Also the amp turns off when I use a CD as well. The source button is also the power button, I hope it doesn't think I'm turning off the deck when switching sources.
Thanks for any help!

Sounds to me like you are using your Power Antenna wire (Blue) as your remote wire (Blue/White stripe) pull your deck out and verify... What you want is to use the blue/white striped wire to use as your remote wire, because thats what it was designed for..
