amp troubles
Hey,
Tried searching but haven't found anyone that's had quite the same issue. Or I'm searching for the wrong thing. Lol.
Anyways, so I have a pioneer amp, don't have it on me so can't remember the model. 600watt 2 channel.
During install, I always hook up my powers first. Force of habit as in early install days when I hooked up ground first, the case then becomes grounded and accidentally touched the screwdriver to the case a few times blowing fuses while screwing in the 12volt power.
So anyways, I attach 12volts, no problem. As I touch the ground to the screw, it sparks, shorts and blows both 25amp fuses on the amp.
I know wiring is all fine as my other 4 amps I own all work perfectly.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Things to check?
I've pulled the board, and under general inspection nothing is burnt, and none of the caps appear to be blown(meaning no bulged sides/tops and no residue oozing out from the bottom)
