A Few things:

1. You say your amps not getting power - have you tested for 12V Power and Ground at the amp (using a multimeter)?
2. Do the same with your remote turn on (when your headunit is turned on)
3. You amp will only turn on when the remote turn on is seeing 12V - which is usually supplied by the deck. The only times this will not happen is:
a. you jumped power from a 12V constant source directly to the amps remote turn on input
b. something breaks in your amp and it get stuck on - VERY UNUSUAL

Spawns idea of a bad fuse is a good one. If you've checked what your comfortable checking and still are not sure.. go to a good store and ask them to take a quick look - they should be able to help get you going again.

Next time you have something weird like that going on - get it checked earlier - so you don't break anything or have anything blow up on ya (especially on a Sunday when the weather is finally nice enough to go for a good cruise!)

No, i havn't tested anything with a multimeter yet since i dont own one, i should be able to do it tomorrow though.

Ya I'm probably going to end up going to a store to get it checked, i'm just trying to figure out what could be wrong since I don't exactly want to pay to have it done!

Ya i might do that from now on, not too happy about my shiny new system going on me already!

don't go to a big box store. if you find a local decent shop, alot of places will just take a quick look for free. providing nothing needs to be torn apart:P

and any questions are free:P

Where did you get the amp from and where did you end up going?

What did it end up being?
