I will make a thread on the Big 3 if someone likes.

yea id probably only get a cap for looks..... and you would get a far greater effect with the Big 3 i think...

A thread on the Big 3 would be sweet... fill it up with some pictures if someone is willing to take pics during there Big 3 experience :P and people can post some tips and techniques that may help a person, stuff like that :P .... id read it forsure.

For SPL - very few people support using caps in SPL oriented systems. The cap does do it's job but is quickly depeleted and then becomes another load on the charging system.

And even if you are adding a capacitor to a SQ system - don't expect that it will make a massive difference in sound or fix a handicapped electrical system. Overexpectation is probably the biggest error people make.

What he said. Caps suck for spl plain and simple. Anything that blocks the flow from the battery to the amp causes a drop in scores (anything such as caps, fuses...etc).
When tested with and without a cap (everything else exactly the same) my score went up .3 dbs without the cap.

The cheeper the cap, the more useless it gets. You need low ESL.
For one, to actually have potential to work, it cant have digital read outs, apparently thats enough resistance to negate the caps ability to work, same if its not conntected within a few inches of your amplifier. No fuses between the cap and amplifier either or ocne again it cant work.

Unless all of the above is true, then the cap is truely worthless.

what about the lights dimming harshly?
if i unplug the cap i get lightshow within the car, if i connect it back up i have only lightly diming lights
isnt that an indication of the cap working?
btw here is what i got for 50$ shipped :

also i got 60amps fuse
cap is located very close to the amps

btw i just found out its 1.2 farad LOL. well!!!!!!!!! haha

^ I would keep the cap in..... as i have mention above (what the cap does), and should be use accordingly.

SPL is not music, it is a one note burp that last more then a few seconds. and will be enough to drain the cap.. which make it completely useless.

BTW: Have you not done the big 3 yet?
