head unit issue

Hey all,

So I have had a after market deck in my car since I have had it. I tried to put back the original yesterday and it seemed dead. I figured it was because it has been sitting in a box for 8 years and wrote it off. I put back in the deck that I took out that was working before the attempted replacement and that is now not powering on either.

So now my question is what is going on? I checked the 10a fuse in the fuse panel and it is ok. The orange is the 12v (from battery) and it seems to give no indication that it is "hot".

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

if u cant problem solve......

just run your own power lead from the batt to your deck (if its the constant on power lead at fault{not likely} ) or ...splice into your sig./access. sockett for the pos. (switched) power source to your deck. i had to do the latter once...it worked pefectly that way and still left power to the sockett for accessories

accesory only socketts only... (usually are) an always on power source ie;non switched power source....hope this helps.....trip
