Help with big 3 upgrade 1994 honda civic lx

Hey guys trying to figure out how to upgrade the power. Yet, it seems like the power wire has a lot of wires connected to it, (I'm talking the wire from the alternator to the battery) and I'm not sure if I will be able to reconnect them after I upgrade it. Is it possible to just leave the stock wire alone and add another heavy guage wire from the alternator to the battery?

You can just add the new wire, as long as you know what you are doing.

I believe I know what to do, I'm going to put a 0 gauge wire from the alternator to the positive prong of the battery with a fuse of 70. Because, the stock alt pumps out 70 amps. Then 0 gauge from negative prong of the battery and ground it to the car, same goes for the engine.
