HELP! FM volume cuts out on Sony CDX-L600x
I have a Sony FM/AM Compact Disk player in my car (CDX-L600x). It's about 4 years old.
Recently, when I play FM stations (or my iPod) through FM radios, the volume will cut out after about 2 minutes. I will have to crank the volume to the extreme setting to even hear it at a low volume. AM stations are not affected and the volume on my disk CD player is also not affected.
I've checked the owner's manual and made sure that the "Loud" was on and set the IF mode to "IF Audio". I have no ideas what the problem is or how to fix it.
Do any of you audio gurus have an idea on what this might be and how I should get it fixed? Also, how much does something like this cost to fix?
Appreciate any help or ideas you can offer.

Warranty's out on it so I'm going to guess that it would probably cost more than the deck is worth to repair it at a shop. Verify all your antenna connections and check the antenna wires to make sure you're not shorting the antenna anywhere. That would be my first check.
