Help pls! 2 amps+1 sub = cluless newb

Honestly with the dual 4 ohm. Having the coils wired in parallel + to + and - to - then wiring to only one amp will give almost the same output. The only advantage was if it was a dual 2 ohm sub. You can do it, but I think it won't make any drastic difference. I'd try another box maybe if your not happy. Or a larger amp, or a dual 2 ohm sub...

You really shouldn't hook up a DVC sub to 2 different amps. All amps are a little different even from the same model. If the amps are making slightly differnt power and the gains are off just a little you will loose output and possibly damage your sub. The one amp running the sub wired to a 2 ohm load(in paralell) will be sufficient.

damn.. found another amp lying around and thought i'd have a quick fix for more bass..

i wont lie... i was under the impression.. that if i wired the output of one amp.. to the input of the other.. it would effectively double the output of both... thats always looked to me how they are wired up in the show cars... no?

Some amps are stackable some are not, nnever run a Dual voice coil sub off 2 diffferen amps. Gonna mess ur up
