okay, so this cd player has a cd jammed in it....when i press the eject button, nothing happens...

any ideas on:

a) how to get the cd out?
b) whats wrong with the unit?

 

You can take it apart to get the CD out. It requires a very small set of screw drivers, and be very carefull.
I've taken my alpine apart twice. First time it was just a warped CD, nothing wrong with the unit. 2nd time, there was nothing wrong with the CD. I got it all back together, installed again, only for the next CD to jam. Took it to an authorized service center, they put in a new servo for $75 and it's like new.

yea there is no warranty left so i would rather not spend $75 on this problem....

its better just to invest that money into a newer deck
