well the blue with the plastic cover is your remote turn on lead... the MUTE is for mutting a in car cell phone, so when it rings it mutes the tunes, and the black with the ring on it is a ground wire...

okay, so for the blue...i should connect them together with this weird crimp connector thing?

its like the image on teh far right (in the pink).....

i just checked and the blue wire says: SYSTEM REMOTE CONTROL

the black ground wire has a ring on it like the image in the center....should i cut that off and just electrical tape it to the 'black wire' coming from my wiring harness?

Do not just tape that wire off. That is the system ground. If you don't connect that wire, the deck will not power up. Hook the ground wire to a bare metal part of the dash chasis or some other metal piece of the car connected to the car chasis.

you read that wrong....instead of me grounding via a screw...can i not just connect it to the black wire coming from my wiring harness because it is labelled as GROUND

so cut teh ring of the pioneer harness and splice the wire then attach it to the GROUND wire from the wire harness for the car

k, i got it done

i left the yellow stripe (MUTE) disconnected
i didnt connect the blue one to my blue one because I dont have an amp or power antenna
and the black one with the ring, i cut off the ring and attached it to my ground wire....everything works fine.

Thanks for the help
