Kenwood KDC-X792 :: Missing "ALL RANDOM" feature
I have a Kenwood KDC-X792 head unit. It doesn't have the function "ALL RANDOM" for MP3s. The KDC-X791 that I previously had did have this function. I returned the 791 and got the 792 because the 791 was defective.
I'm running a 320 GB USB hard drive on this head unit. It works great, but sometimes it's nice to just say "ALL RANDOM" and it'll cycled through the whole collection. All I have now is "Randomize Folder" which will randomize all the MP3s in that single folder, but not all the folders in your drive.
I've contacted Kenwood about this TWICE and they've basically told me to wait until the next version of this unit comes out and buy that. How's that for customer service?
Anyhow, what I'm asking is if anyone knows how to activate the ALL RANDOM feature on this unit? Maybe someone has a hacked firmware for this deck? I'm technically apt and if I need to program that's no problem.
If anyone can help steer me in the right direction towards a solution, please post it here.
