Need help with Time-Alignment.

I have 2-way components in the front doors, And I don't use rear speakers.

The right speaker/tweeter is on more axis with my right ear and I seem to be hearing it first, Instead of the the illusion that it's shooting into the center of the car.

Now I seem to have some options, I can fade to the left a little more, But I don't think that fixes it.

Or I can go into the time-alignment setting and + the left speaker 1db. That seems to help but I am not quite sure if it's 100%, I've never used time-alignment before so it's hard to tell.

I know that with time alignment, The sound should be coming out of the farthest speaker first, Which would be the right speaker. And the sound coming from the closest speaker should be coming last.

Any suggestions guys? I'm trying to get this straightened out.

Unless the tweeter and woofer are right beside eachother and you're not running active crossovers, time alignment will be useless to you. When you adjust for the tweeter, the mid will **** up. Try switching the phase on the tweeter. (switch + and -)

I thought using time-alignment would be used when the tweeter & mid are farther away from each other?

this is true, but you must have time alignment separate for the mid and tweeter for it to work properly. This requires running active crossovers.

After fading to the left it a little it seems to clears it up.

Also, If I was to reverse the polarity of tweeter, Would I only switch it on the Crossover or the amp too? (If I had one).

I had this type of problem with a woofer before, I could hear the midbass before the woofer and I had to reverse the polarity of the woofer connection.

just do it at the tweeter. if it makes it worse, than do the woofer as well. and just swap around which ever speakers sounds strange.
