So I bought an AVH-P4400BH for my Jeep a month ago, and aside from the fact that the install was a complete nightmare, the unit has been great....Until the other day. I was driving my truck and all of the sudden the screen just went black. At first there was no audio and no display. Then the audio was coming in sparatically. I thought that maybe a fuse had blown somewhere, but then I realized that when I shut the car off, the screen still tilted in to the dash and when I turned the key, it tilted back out. The screen is responsive to touch as well. Then, a friend of mine pointed out that if you hold a flashligt up to the screen at the proper angle you can see the display. At this point, I had gotten my audio back but still no screen. So now it seems to me that the radio is functioning, audio is still playing but there seems to be a problem with the backlight(dont even know if thats possible) Any Ideas? or Fixes?

 

I got this same unit for my GF back in October and her screen just went black. Any ideas on why this is happening???
