Pioneer HU USB problem

So I've got a Pioneer DEH-P4000UB that seems to be acting up. I use an 8 gig usb drive that has worked for about a year and a half now, but the other day it stopped working. The drive works in other Pioneer decks and my older usb drive works, but when I try it the deck keeps reading N/A USB. Any ideas what the problem is?

The only thing I would suggest is trying to reformat the flash drive and reloading your stuff on to it.

Your wording is a bit hazy did you say your old USB drive works on the head unit in question?

If you format it make sure you have it set to FAT32. Not sure about Pioneer, but I just went through it with a 16g that never worked on my Kenwood until we did. Works perfect now. Speaking of USB, all you guys with micro Sd cards in your phones, I found a USB multi card reader that my deck likes at all places Dollarama for $2. So I can now use SD, Mini Sd, and Micro SD cards, as well as regular USB drives.

I was thinking of reformatting, it just seemed odd that the same drive worked the day before, but I took it out and when I tried it again it stopped working. And yes my old drive works, as do brand new ones, this one just started acting up. I guess my deck only likes Kingston drives.

I've looked for a reset button but couldn't find one, so I tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery but that didn't help. I'm thinking the deck might need to be replaced soon, but I'm gonna run it until it dies regardless.
