powering a JL 13W7
hey everybody...im new to this forum so forgive my "breaking-of-rules" if i do...
I'm going to be purchasing 2 JL 13W7s for my VW Golf in the near future and was wondering what would be a good way of powering them since they run @ 1.5 or 3 ohms. The amp I had in mind was the Massive Audio P3000.1 which would give both subs a great amount of power without overdoing it. I would rather stay away from the JL 1000.1v2 because it only offers 1000 watts, and the subwoofer would run 1500 watts rms.
So any input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Andrew

Sorry I didn't read the part about two subs. You can wire the coils on each sub in series and then wire each sub in series. You will get a 6 ohm load and the amp will put out a bit less than 1800 watts.

If you do 1000/1 on each you will be much happier jl amps just sound so nice when hooked up to the w7s.
It will be louder ,cleaner and more reliable trust me.
I have use many jl amps and subs they just work well together !!
