Arrow Real weird problem

*story
Ok, I have had this deck installed in my car now for about 2 months. It ran great untill i went on this road trip. About 15 min into the trip the speakers were cutting to low volume, randomly. sub was still ok though. So Naturally I hit the deck (usually that shakes somthing... )-didnt work.. so as I was pulling the deck out, it started to work fine.. so i left it half in the dash the rest of the way... it worked great...
When we got to the destination, it started again... so i pulled it out, poped open my glove box.. pulled the deck out and put it in the glove box, wires all hanging from the back of the unit out to the deckhole. -this worked for a while to.. eventually i ended up having to put the deck on the floor.. ahh,.. than since its been touchy... sumtimes good, sumtimes bad. But i have never had a problem when the engine is not running?!
*END

What iv done allready,
I re-wired everything. made sure its all "peachy".. even hard wired the deck straight to the batt (w/ fuse). detached the rear speakers, made a big fat new ground. And i took the sub & amp away, (allthough the monster cable is still attached to the battery){{-maybe a cause, but i plan on putting a sub in again, so i dont wanna detach it... (i wouldnt think this would be a problem, as there is nuthing sucking on the other end?)-}}

The wierd stuff.
*ENGN WHILE RUNNING*
-stereo will do it -unless it is sitting PERFECTLY in the random position of its choice

*ENGN WHILE NOT RUNNING*
-stereo will run like a dream no matter where the stereo sits? im tottaly confused

-if it isnt wired right it wouldnt work at all?>!
-if there was a loose connection it would do it while the engine is off aswell..?
if there isnt enough power going to the deck, wouldnt it run worse when the car isnt on? alternator?

right confusssssssssssed!

anyone help me! i just wanna hear my tunes.
