Signal to amps

Just lookin for suggestions on how i should wire up the amps i got.

I'm goin' to run two amps on one sub.

The sub has quad 1ohm VC.

Goin to run 2 coils in series to effectively get a 2 ohm DVC sub.

each amp is goin to be on each 2 ohm VC. (amps stable only at 2ohm and, not strappable, and not bridgable, according to manufactures specs)

Now I got that out of the way, my question is:
How should i get the signal to each sub.

1) split the signal before entering each amp. "T" the rca's, from one pair to two pair.

or

2) put the single rca signal into one amp the take the pass thru rca output and connect it to the second sub amp.

FYI:
Goin to use Digital Multi-meter to make sure each sub is set at the same settings.
Sub: memphis mad max,
Amps: 2 of 16-MC1500D

Thanks for readin' (little long winded)

Any help is appreciated, my first attempt at a higher powered system.

I would prefer to use the pass thru - this way it's not only cleaner installation but also signify a better input for the other amp.

why dont u jsut strap the amps so they work as one??? would be much easier to do.

you could use the pass thru, the gain on the second amp would have to be turned up higher than the first amp.

but strapping is a much easier and smarter way of doin it.

I'm not sure if these amps can be strapped together (16-MC1500D).
I just was on the Memphis website and sent them an email to see if they can be.

Has anyone tried to do this or something like this with these amps?

Was also thinkin about gettin the DD Z1 that Prolifik has for sale, but I'd have to get rid of my two memphis amps, and it doesn't look like there's much demand or a market for them here.

This is the response i got from there techs:

"The MC1500D (and even the current MCD1500, and older ST1500D) models
are unfortunately not bridgeable in pairs as the 500, 1000, 2500, and 4kw models are with the bridging module. The 1500's have always been designed differently.

Thank you-
Memphis Car Audio Tech Support"

So it looks like that option is out of the question.
