So when I bought the car it had a 12" Pheonix gold and an Eclipse amp which was going into protection mode from the day I bought it. I went and got a new amp and subs the other day. Two 10" JLs and a 250w JL amp with a box and they wired the subs into the box for me. I got home and hooked them up they sounded bad, so I called them and they said that I was doing it wrong. I had to hook my + - wires up on either side of the box then hook the + and - of either side together. Then from there + and - to the amp. So I did this and it STILL sounds like crap, but they are both moving at the same time now. Could they have wired it wrong in the box? I had the same set up in my old car back in 2001 and they pounded, and I did hook everything up myself back then. Any idea what could be wrong, it seems I have tried everything. I checked my remote wire, ran new RCA cables and changed my + and - on the amp. It seems no matter where I set the amp it sounds like .

open the box, yo. sounds like they f'd up.

just wire one backwards, if it gets better leave it, no need to open the box.
if it doesnt get better, take it back

Yeah it didn't get better, taking it back, thanks for the advice!!

Had mine wired up opposite when i re-did mine a few weeks ago and i was like WTF till i calmed down and opened up the box to fix it
