speakers pop when hu turned on

speakers pop when hu turned on
hi
i have replaced my alpine head unit with a new cda-9886 hu and now when ever i turn the power on or off or turn the volume fro 0-1 or 1-0 i get this quiet pop from all of my speakers. it never did this with my other deck and all i did was unplug the old one and plug in the new one and if i put the old back in it does not do it, is this caused from the amp being powered up before the hu? and if so will it damage my speakers and are there any suggestins on how to fix it?

My speakers do the same thing with my new deck when i turn the HU on. Its just a cheap Freeway dvd-2685 that i have now, but i would like to know why it does this too, and like you i think it is coming from the amp turning on.

i paid more attention as to when it happens and it only happens when i turn the unit off and when i turn the volume up from 0 to 1. i am going to rewire my whole system next weekend and see if it goes away but i think it has something to do with the deck turning off before the amp. i will post my findings after next weekend.
