Question subs causing cd to skip?

i have two alpine type s 10s in my truck and they are wired into the factory headunit via the adapter, would it be possible that the bass from the subs could cause the cd to skip or would it signal a bad headunit? help me

get a bass cd and play all the low freq .now u can isolate the tone .if its true then the skip will be shown.

I had the same problem, I got 3 10" JL Audio W6's running a Alpine head unit and when I play music loud with alot of bass and turn my bass **** up my C.D. would skip. I removed the HU and braced it up with some foam insulation and it has stopped skipping, I guess there was to much movement in my head unit.
