volume dipping

where are you grounded to? did you strip away the paint to bare metal?

Yeah paint is completely stripped down exposing a big patch of nice shiny metal. So im positive the ground is good. <---AHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyways. I have a fusion nv1600.1 amp that i can use and see if that makes a difference. Will post updates.

What is your HI/LOW switch set to on your RCA input? It should be set to high. Could be the issue...

look at the wires at your fuse holder near the battery , usually the inside where ur wire around it get green and cause sparks and shut down the amp

sound like ur just losing power

Get a RCA -> 3.5mm (headphone jack) cable and plug your mp3 player into the RCA on the sub amp. Let the bass play for a bit and see if he volume changes. Then you'll know where to look; Amp or deck.

So i switched out the jl amp with the fusion and the same thing happened. This weekend im going to change out the deck and rca cables and hopefully this works.
