I've bought equipment and install accessories at both shops, as well as at Keelans... (although I don't think that they are around anymore ??)

I don't think that I've been in either of those shops for a couple years now, though...

if i read corrently he said only 2 wires are coming out of the box
wouldnt that mean the subs are connected in series aka 8ohms?

maybe thats the problem? pull out the subs and make sure the coils are hooked up in parallel?

I asked a simple question, is the amp going into protection ?

If yes, is the overcurrent light flickering before this happens ?

If yes you have a bad power/ground connection or a short in the speaker wire or the subs tinsel leads....

If no then it's something else... say a bad RCA or an intermittent wire connection...
he said it only happens when the bass is turned up ... which leads me back to the amp going into protect... I think this is a 5 minute fix, IF we had all the info or he had a DMM and knew how to use it. Since the lights are dimming a lot then it leads me to believe he is not coming close to maintaining 12V so that could be a big part of this. The system isn't all that big so I am a little surprised that the electrical system is that wimpy with a new battery and all... his alt may be weak.

Now Haunz tell him your sorry, and you promise to play nice
