Hi - I had a D 6 channel amp and I thought there was an issue with it - about avery 3 - 6 months it would send an ear-splitting horn sound to my speakers when I started the vehicle. I finally put a 4-channel in thinking this was a one-off iffue with my 6-channel. Well, yesterday, I started my vehicle and .... once again the loud obnoxious horn-sounding blare was coming from my speakers. The only way to stop it is to shut the vehicle off and start it again.

My question is - does anyone know if this is a known issue with these amps??

it sounds more like a HU problem to me, the source of it all is usually where you look first.

This is my second HU with the same issue - also second vehicle install so I think it is the amps.

Possible, weird though 2 different amps, rcas?

I guess it could possibly somthing in the Symbi-link cable... never thought of that. On the bright side - I now have a 6 channel that is maybe perfectly ok!
