How much power are you giving it?

I've read a bunch of times this woofer prefers a bit larger of an enclosure, and for it to be tuned reletivly low.

2.5 cubic feet @ 32hz should be the way to go

lol jalat, thats what i have right now actually 2.5 cubes at 32 hz, but i was just wondering if i could make it sound even better, right now i have a port thats 3inches wide, wondering if a 4 inch port would be better or not? this sub is seeing 1600 watts rms.

I'm sure thats enough port area for that sub. I mean if you want the SQ outta the sub, your gonna wanna tune for a reletively flat response. If you wanna get loud, then your gonna wanna tune a bit higher, keeping in mind, where your car/truck peaks.

I think the enclosure its in right now should do the trick. But if your up to the challenge, try a sealed enclosure thats 1.25 cubic feet.

well i was going to do sealed, but i was hopping to try and get a hair trick out of this, lol, and i dont know what my truck peaks at is a 99 s10 ext cab. and the box still needs work done to it, ie rounding corners on port. and i havent pushed this sub yet as my electrical wont let me yet, but so far im happy with it, just seeing what else i could do.
