Checkout the Chevy Silverado short box single cab with 8 RE XXX 12's on 12k. I think it did 153 @ 30. Nearly the same design.

i did my 86 mazda b-2000 with 4 orion 15s in a blow thru.. hammered with one orion 2100 hcca.. what i did was cut the hole only about 10 inches high.. then the subs were slanted in a ported box at about 30degrees.. then i put a rubber seal around the cut metal then used 3/4 inch birch to make a port around the opening and the port was part of the front of the box so the subs fired all sound right into the cab through a perfectly smooth opening.. good lord was that loud.. also i stripped the interior and dynamated and used a case of mono expanding foam.. then for the roof i used 3/8 mdf and pl-400 that to the roof then place a layer of sounddamping foam then the headliner went back on.. of course the headliner was reupolstered in suede.. hope some ideas help...

Thanks for all the input. More looking for box info. Trying to get ahold of anyone with powerbass experience. Two ported boxes into a one big chamber shouldn't act like a BP i think. Maybe ill just do 12's. 8 will be the same kind of money as the 15's.

Why don't you use one port in the middle and have the subs firing at eachother? Phase them.

If the airspace is big enough, a 3" long port tunes to (maybe) 35hz and the entire blow through cut out could be a bigass port with subs firing up or to opposite sides.

It absolutely will. Whether you care or not and what you want to do about it is the question.
