i dont know if u know, but the side of the box is heavily dependant on the amount of power you give to a sub. i bet they didnt tell u that.
think about what who said?
mark personally told me that 6 cubes would be fine for the 2 subs with my amp, the amp used to be his, he knows and has seen my car and knows its for daily so 6 cubes is what i would do to start with, and go from there.

6 cubes sounds like a pretty standard box for subs that require that much power.
I hell in my house i have 2 15inch speakers with 9 cubes a piece.

Real speakers need real bockses.

I have 2 12" subs in my truck and they each have their own 3 cub box tuned to 34 hertz, they sound wicked in that set up. Subs are Pioneer TS-W2000SPL.

I calculated trunk space in my moms sunfire trunk and it came out to 16 deep 22 wide and 30 long, Get a calculator and that makes roughly 6.1. THen MINUS walls which Iwill be using 1" mdf. still comes out good pretty high. Thats without using any cabin space and leaving quite a bit of room for sub. If you want deep clean QUALITY sounding bass, go for a bigger box. If you want something for SPL then im sure you can do with smaller. I was thinking about taking out a round section in the middle area of the seat and vent into the cabin. Use WINISD its free, but may take a while to figure out.
