Bigger the box = smaller port needed to tune lower, cleaner deep bass QUALITY. Smaller = Boomier, bigger vent to tune lower, SPL. use WIN ISD if you dont already. its free and works great. Might take a while to learn how to use it though.

If you want deep clean QUALITY sounding bass, go for a bigger box. If you want something for SPL then im sure you can do with smaller. I was thinking about taking out a round section in the middle area of the seat and vent into the cabin. Use WINISD its free, but may take a while to figure out.

u are wrong on some of the things you mentioned there.

i seen some pretty loud spl boxes that are 20-30 cubes in volume and that had HUGE ports.

Sorry let me correct myself.... Bigger = better...... but if you really give a big about space and not sound quality, then go small. I just said that because most people I know who want an spl system are to lazy or unwanting to use more space in their car therefore making a small box not knowing that a box on the bigger sounds clearer and usually can hit harder lower notes, or peak higher at current ones. Correct me if I am mistaken.
