Whisful Thinking

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to be able to put three of these in my TrailBlazer SS and knock out a window. Wishful thinking I'm sure.

Q:

Can anyone from in the field and in the know recommend me an enclosure for the "B.A. INHUMAN" 12's DVC. Which would live loud and stay in control.

Ported or sealed-Any suggestions? I like loud with a smooth transfer. Happy medium leaning a little more to the SQ side.

Is the goal of SQ defeating the purpose of running 3 B.A. 12 DVC/2ohm?

I was thinking sealed. I like low bass with lots of dampening. The stuff that digs real deep and rolls off with little flutter.

I think I will try this if no-one tries to change my mind. 3 B.A. INHUMANS all in the same airspace, approx 5 cu/ft. 4000watts from one signal.

Suggestions.

You've got some kick *** subs there!

They were hand built by DB Don, you bought them from Audio Express on Circle Drive in Saskatoon. We're no longer located there, but on 8th street.

Lucky for you I will make sure he sees this tomorrow! PM me your email address and I will get him to email you some box specs.

Without pics those would most likely be the earlier model inhumans.
Each sub was custom ordered, so the majority of them will have differerent coil and spider configs. I had a 15 and it weighed in at around 54 lbs if I remember correctly.

comparasion:

I would like to say 'yes', but for some reason I think the magnets are a little different, as the ones you included in your photos seem too look slightly taller.

I will be home in a day or two, I will re-open the packaging, then I can do a comparasion on them.

THX

More Info:

Yes. I was correct in my thinking from my memory. These subs are not monstorous. They weigh in at 34.5 pounds each. So roughly 20 pounds lighter each than some of their bretheren that I'm assuming DB Dan built his reputation on...

So no monsterous SPL from the lanes with these I suspect... I remember requesting these over the super large SPL ones as I wanted a better response time for SQ goals. Plus 1 dollar per watt seemed to be pretty much the norm in the day. I wasn't convinced on digital power yet. Am I now?

Had I seen the 51 pound monsters Sitting beside mine, I may have perhaps chosen them for sheer novelty over the ones I bought? It was a word of mouth order. Dan built me exactly what I asked for from what I can tell.

The Audio-Control Eppicenter and a Soundstream Rubicon 1000 made short work of the 10W6's that I bought even though they were in a small sealed enclosure, this is why I bought these.........Mabey I clipped the JL's? But they sounded very much in control untill I ran them to the ragged edge where they would start to jump the gap.

I'm still not certain on what amp to put on these, (ARE THESE INHUMANS?) I was thinking of a Memphis MOJO 4KW....??

Pictures soon. I have too do some resizing.
