Pictures

Here are the pictures of these subs in questions. I hope they upload properly. Kind of a thing of beauty. When I get some more input I'll plan on powering them up.

Box building and tuning can eat up months of time but it's worth it in the end. I have heard that a ported box can play lower than a sealed depending on how it is built. Even Aperiodic Membrane mats are supposed to filter out the higher waves.

I would be willing to build a few diffrent boxes and let others know my findings as far as SQ and bump. Trial and error seems to be the name with this game in quest for incredible sound. I do not want to burn these out as DB Dan won't have any more for me...

Any more recommendations for amps, power levels and boxes for these. Input is appreciated & especially dealing with units that cannot be replaced without a hybrid recipe.

Please enjoy the photos.

Thats a real early model Inhuman and rare model inhuman, I have never seen a dual stack motor inhuman and I have owned ALOT of Inhumans. Those woofers were totally hand crafted. For any type of spec or box info DB Don would be the only one that would be able to help you there.

Tell him I say Hi.

seriously, i think you should put hem back in the closet and never look back
if i owned those, i wouldnt even let them out of my house. i'd have a heart attack if anything happen to such a rare item, be it theft, or blowing them up or anything at all.

Certainly those are rare and were limited edition. I remember when you bought them and they are dual 1.9 ohm and were designed for 1.0-1.5 cubic foot sealed enclosure, 2-2.5 cube ported per sub(tuned to 30-38hz) would work also but with less power. Approx power handling is 800-1000wrms depending on enclosure. There are even rarer of motors but you will only find 100-150 of these worldwide, most of which probably still in use. The spl line of the speakers are the ones most of you are familiar with and they are the triple stacked without the rear logo.

Those particular motors were made with a particular metal I found to contain very special blend I needed to produce low frequency better. They came from Train axles that were made for strengh. It was a rare find but nice at the time.

You can email me anytime at dbdon@sasktel.net I try to look at my emails, and I recently discovered facebook which I might use to much. lol

Black LeSabre T-Type. It was a great install and it sounded excellent. As stated though, my configuration was challenged at the edge when the getting was good. This is why I opted for the 3 Beyond woofers. My set-up tore the surrounds of the JL 10W6's in only weeks.

I guess when looking back SQ were my goals with plenty of dampening. I spent alot of time under the carpet and in the panels of that sedan to defeat the resonance. Also reworking the trunk and its panels for sound transfer.

Anyone who sat in the car seemed to be captivated. Can't remember his name, an employee at Audio Express at the time who had an SPL truck, white and several 15's, he said knew a person who was producing some incredible bass machines. This is where these 3 Beyonds came in and rest is history. I never did get them powered up.

Low is the goal. Mid-bass is evil, it is the enemy & these should hammer the deck with some anvil like lip.

Train axels. Quite amazing...Was that from CP or CN railway cars?

Regards & Thank you to db Don.

The car is actually still here, I had it reworked. It's now in silver with pearl cold blue steel flames running over the hood and doors. 1988 Buick LeSabre T-Type.

Putting it on 19's this summer & with any luck custom offsets and perhaps suspension work which might take some time. LOL

The pictures of my car are simulated and it was on the drawing table at this point. The car will look very similar as the car is already in the paint.

I had 4 18" Quad Inhumans only ran 2 of them in a wall I hacked together with about 1000watts to each of them and I honestly have hearing damage on my right side due to them, oh to be younger and dumb.

In any case they are bad *** subs.
