Backseat Box, still keeps the bangin in the back without the passengers.

im fixin up my car with 4 DD 15's, in the backseat none-the-less. I'm going for a half-wall type set-up so that i have visibility thru the rear window(e-laws.org says you need to afford a clear view throught the back window and front side windows). I have about 21 cubes to work with, but that doesnt include the walls, sub displacement and port displacement.

i was wondering, since its 4000w RMS (American Bass 400.1), should i go with 2 plies of 1" MDF and should the port be 1 or 2" thick?

i was also wondering if i should squeeze all 4 woofers on the front face of the wall, with either ports on the top or should i got with one port down the middle with 2 15's angled abit on either side. or i thought i could angle the top front of the box and put 2 there, and two lower, with ports in the middle.

there isnt the most space to work with, especially when i put my seat the way i feel comfiest.

if anyones done an install of this sort or has any suggestions, throw 'em down, i want this bitch to bang

back up the seat a notch or 2 behind where you are comfy just in case a long *** guy goes in lol tilt it back to where you like it after that then take mesurments of the whole back end to see exactly how much room you have to play with.

personnaly i would put a sub behind the driver and the passenger then the 2 others on top of the box and port it in the middle top

its just an idea to through out there.... never did it myself but its fun to imagine it lol might do a wall next year :P

and some other ppl will help you with the rest but hopefully it gets you started

ohh and since the box is so big i would prob put double 1" with internal bracing ( 1" dowle)

yea, the comfy spot i got is all the way back, so im the long *** guy haha,
i got my measurements and everythings good, i got 52 inches across the front face of the box, i have 25 inches to go up, but i think i should make it 30 to fit the 2 woofers vertically.

i was wondering if for one single port for the 4 woofers would be 4 times the port opening size? i know theres other threads im just about to leave at the moment, my woofers need i think 64 sq. in. port so i was thinking 4" x 16" port, with a 16" depth. would the 4 sub port be 8 " x 32" and 16" deep, or does the depth need to be like 20" or 24"? dont know...

but as for bracing, can't skip that, im deffinatley doing that. and alot of it.

and thanks for the help danyman, you helped start one of my other threads. thanks bro.

no prob and as of ports i dont know lol im still learning but hopefully someone will awnser that and it will help me at the same time lol

i dont know but instead of putting the box square put the front in the same angle as your seat and leave like a 3" gap between the seat and box so your subs would just bang the crap out of the seat lol nautious :P ill keep checking here for this info and post pics when your done eh would love to see how it turns out
