lol, 4th order..

You're easiest option is to recreate the pic that was posted above. I hate that spare tire well - sliding a pair of 10s in the back like in that pic is the best option.

The box can be any shape under the sun as long as it is the proper volume for the sub (s) to be used. With integrating into the stock system, a single driver is going to be more than adequate. If you ever anticipate that you will be adding power to the front and rear speakers, consider right now the second sub and build appropriately. Keep in mind as well that even though the speakers are inset into that box, the cones move and the surrounds or cones cannot make contact with absolutely anything that is going to sit above them. That is certian failure for the sub. Allow enough airspace for them to clear any obstruction placed overhead. A good solid upholstered aluminum grill will solve this issue for you.

if it is sealed the shape shouldn't matter, as for covering it if you cover it it may turn it into a type of band pass box which may make it sound like doo doo.your best bet is if it's covered make the part that covers the subs out of grill cloth that way the subs can move and breath freely.

I was thinking of covering it with a false floor, then embossing some kind of audi rings in the middle, and then in the middles of the rings use a mesh, so it still comes off clean but allows air flow
