Blow-through?

I am considering doing a blow-through in my 05 ram ext. cab... i have a 18" beyond audio sub and am wondering the best way to install it if i do go this route. i already have a box built for the sub from my previous vehicle. the problem is that it is too big to fire straight at the cab. would it be alright to fire it on an angle and build an enclosure around the box or would that cause it to sound strange? i have never seen a blow-through in person so i have no idea on how it should be setup... also how large should the cut through be? any tips/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the box for you. Custom made fibreglass , 2 x 12W3's, with Alpine V12 1507 plus an MRV-307. Custom box, bolt in. I'll PM pics, if interested. Located in Fort Nelson BC, will ship anywhere. Price negotiable.

^ Don't buy from anyone who has 1 post.

Ported or sealed?

What are the useable dimensions of the inside of the cab wall?

The cut-through should obviously be the size of the box, so plan the box first.

Yeah, angle it.

No, you don't need to build an enclosure around the box (for protection?), unless you don't have a tonneau cover. In that case, it's not like wooden box is going to protect a wooden box. Either buy a tonneau cover or get one of those diamond-plate tool boxes and cut a piece out of it.
