not try ing to hijack this but in that design is there a general rule of how much space is needed from the bottom of the port to the back of the enclosure?

the port is 3" wide so the piece should be 3" away from the back wall. its acually 2.75" away but that is due to the 45 angle i put in which help increase air flow and wont 'choke' the enclosure which will reduce port noise.





as far as bracing... which is up to him if he wants to use, just buy some threaded rod. it takes up no airspace and is strong. use nuts and bolts are your set.

LOL...that was a BIG box.......reminds me of a guy showing up here
with an old school 15" home audio woofer last summer and it was
in a 13cf3 enclosure (in a ford ex cab).....LOL
