Hi guys,

I am thinking of changing my port size to change the tuning of my box which is currently 41 hz...and I notice i am not hitting the lows in rap music,,

WHAT SHOULD I TUNE IT TO, TO MAKE IT A GOOD RAP/R&B sub box...i dont compete in SPL, but still want it loud of course!

try tuning anywhere between 30-34hz

 

it should between 28 to 34hz but mine is 34hz as L - Slot Ported. For Box if you build correctly for your subwoofer.

Listen to any rap's bass track like lil wyte - hood runs down, thats hitting very deep.

 

You might want to look into building the box to suit the specs of your sub, that way you can maximize the possible output of that particular speaker.
