Going into competition for SPL (Sound Pressure Level) this is where you play bass tones in whatever frequency your system is tuned to, to achieve your loudest score in decibles. This is non musical.

Alright tell me what you think of this one.
My math tells me I have 14.79 cubic feet in the box before bracing and displacement of the drivers.
1,449 cubic inch port area or 0.83854167 cubic feet
port plate takes up 129.375 cubic inches or 0.07485979 cubic feet lol

Let me know what you think and what the port tuning would be.

Thats the ticket, you just need to make the port 1.5" thick looks like its only .75" in thickness, the tuning is as I said in your PM. I've taken in woofer displacement and the vent when I gave you the dimensions initially.

This is what I came up with.

With a Q1-3500D.1 Amp
Q1-3500D.1 Amplifier

Think this will work for me?

Why did you change it? Your baffle is no where near strong enough for 2 18's being an inch and half thick

The original design is what I personally see fit for your application

I changed it mainly for the port to be centered and to keep the height in check. I figure I could brace it well and resin it and if need be I could always add another layer. I asked around on other forums and some people told me I didn't need 3" baffle for 2 1000w subs lol.

You don't get maximum bass with 2 18" woofers having a port in the middle. Best of luck with your build.

Can you help me better understand why a port in the middle has less bass than one on the side? honestly I don't understand this stuff so would really like to get educated. I haven't bought subs or and amp yet so I have not decided on a final design.
