I'm not going to get into detail for the simple reason as you won't understand at this time being so new to this. I'd strongly suggest going to different shops in your location and listen to different vented enclosures and see what peaks your interest. Listen to boxes with all sizes of woofers. Boxes that are tuned to different frequency's. See if there are generic style boxes and "Custom Boxes" so you can hear the difference. I'll tell you now there is a difference between generic ported boxes and "Custom Boxes" especially if whom ever built them knows how to build and tune an enclosure PROPERLY..... Bring a CD of "your" musical choice, don't let them play what they suggest, as they could play a " bass enhanced " competition cd which will make any box sound good.
