Hey guys, its been a while since I have been on here...been working alot and working on the car like usual. I have ran into a situation that I cant really figure out.

I have made fiberglassed pods for my door panel, they are the right size doesn't interfer with my legs, etc. The issue is the door panel won't stay to the actual door, the clips keep breaking or twisting. Is there any alternative solution to get these panels to stay to the door and not rip off as I try to shut it from the inside??....The only thought I had was to screw the entire panel (around the edges) to the door. I have seen people with alot heavier door panels then me and their's stay perfectly.

screw them into the door? lol..Use a self tapper and walla problem solved!

When you let the fiberglass dry did you have the panel mounted in the door? If not, then the plastic has flexed as the resin and mat contracted and now your door is permanently warped. You'll have to look into either bolting it in somehow, getting much more aggressive clips or just starting over.

When I build a door I like to build in an appropriate number of bolts that go from the door pod through the metal door panel. I glass them right into the pod/panel sticking out the back like a stud. When you install the door panel you reach through the speaker hole and use nuts and washers to bolt the pod/panel to the door and then install the speaker after. I have never had a panel come loose this way.

Hey, Thanks guys...I took off the stock speaker panel of the door panel then fiberglassed it. I shall try what Dukk mentioned.
